SPEEDY campers are putting their tent erecting skills on show as they fight for the crown of the world's fastest pitcher.
The York heat of the World Tent Pitching Championships is taking place at the Northern Motorhome Show on Knavesmire this weekend.
The swift handling of pegs and poles will be tested in an effort to win a camping trip to the Canadian Rockies.
The winners of the York heat will take on teams from across the world at the final in London's Earls Court in November.
Simon Coe, the show's director, said: "Under adverse weather conditions, it could well be the amateur keen to get out of the wet that emerges as the world tent pitching champion."
