CHILDREN from a York school were taught how to improve their speaking and listening skills at a workshop touring North Yorkshire.
Youngsters from Lord Deramore's Primary School in Heslington took part in the BT Education Programme communications road show which visited the school yesterday. They were treated to a 30-minute live drama performance which compared communication skills in two families.
The Year Five and Six pupils then took part in a workshop designed to help develop their communication skills in the context of real life situations. Year Six teacher Suzie McKenna said: "The children really enjoyed it, the show was lovely and lively with songs and lots of audience participation."
