YORK TV presenter Clare Frisby is to return to the screens of viewers in her home city.
BBC Look North announced today that she will become the face of its regional breakfast bulletins, will present a majority of its lunch-time bulletins, and will also front outside broadcasts.
Last week, the Evening Press reported how Clare was leaving her current role, presenting Look North's local news for East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
Former GMTV US correspondent Helen Morton is taking over in the Autumn, to present the programme's East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire edition with Look North veteran Peter Levy.
Clare, who worked at BBC Radio York for four years, will return to Look North in Leeds at the end of September.
Today she said she was delighted to be coming back: "I have spent the last year at the helm in Hull and have successfully launched Look North's news service for the east of the region," she said.
"I am delighted now to be returning to Leeds and taking up my new role. A big thank you to all my loyal viewers in the east - set your alarm clocks and I'll see you at breakfast!"
Colin Philpott, head of regional and local programmes for BBC Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, said: "I'm pleased to have Clare back with us in Leeds. She's a seasoned presenter and a valuable member of the Look North team who is well known across the region."
