TWO more agricultural shows are being held this week, proving that the countryside is back to normal. Almost.
At Tockwith Show on Saturday, the only pigs will be made of papier mache, because of continuing foot-and-mouth restrictions.
But they are just as cute, and a little less smelly, than your average Saddleback or Berkshire.
Visitors to Ryedale Show today saw the real thing. And, even though there are fewer animals than usual, organisers were expecting an excellent turnout. It is good to see both shows back.
