MORE than 100 young people are to present a heart-warming tale of the adventures of a little orphan girl and her faithful dog.
York Grand Opera House's summer project, Annie, will feature the work of young people aged from nine to 18 at every level of the production, from principal actors to members of the orchestra and backstage crew.
Having successfully auditioned for their roles, those that have won places as actors or musicians will have the opportunity to be a part of a major production, performing in front of the public and experiencing the excitement of working in a professional theatre.
Those who will be working backstage will learn the disciplines of lighting, sound and stage management.
The show runs from Tuesday, August 6, and Saturday, August 10.
