YORK Rugby League fans are invited to a meeting at Huntington Stadium on Monday night to discuss the latest developments on the bid to relaunch the professional game in the city.

The meeting starts at 7.30pm and fans will be addressed by Steve Ferres, who will be the chief executive of the proposed new York Rugby Leaguye club and fans' spokesman Gary Hall.

"The meeting is to put the supporters in the picture and inform them of what progress has been made," said Hall.

The RFL have backed York's bid to get back in the big-time next season.
