New Earswick All Blacks Open Age Team resume full training on Thursday, July, 18 (7.15pm) at New Earswick Sports Club.

All Blacks will be looking to build on their excellent finish to last season and with coaching by Simon Baines and Alan Pallister and conditioning by Mick Ramsden they are optimistic.

All Blacks will welcome back Mick Harrison, Alex Davis and Dan Wellard next season and have already signed paceman Jon Paul Wong, the former York RI rugby union player.

Baines will hold a light training session and players' meeting on Thursday, July 11, at NESC. Any new players are welcome.

Meanwhile Widnes Vikings' York-born centre Dan Potter and former Wasps Pallister, Ramsden and Darren Crake were on hand to present the trophies at New Earswick All Blacks' presentation day.

Trophy winners were - Under-8s: Most improved, Adam McCarthy; Player of the year, David Bellwood; Man of steel, Isaac Fotu.

U9s: Most improved, Louis Pool and Tom Baron; Coach's player, Dean Layton; Man of steel, James Leaf and Players' player Liam Dawson.

U10s: Most improved, Liam Haxby; Coach's player, Louis Sallitt; Man of steel, Mathew Brown; Players player, Ashley Richmond.

U11s: Most improved, Nick Speck and Johnny Nendick; Coach's player, Steve Gardner and Mark Hayes; Man of steel, Jack Hodgson and Sam Atkinson; Top tackler, Jack Hodgson

U12s: Most improved, John Taal; Coach's player, Jack Sinclair; Man of steel, Dan Lofthouse; Players player, Elliott Bridges.

U14s: Most improved, Jack Billet; Best newcomer, Jack French; Best defender, Dan Pfluger; Players' player and Coach's player, Jack Goodacre.
