WHEN the Guilford Stranglers first appeared in 1974, few would have believed the phenomenal success they would achieve.

After playing the pub scene, the band went on to play in much larger venues all over the world. Now, thanks to Adidas, the band have released a new Best Of album after the giant German sportswear company used Peaches in a TV advert featuring the England captain David Beckham.

The band that quickly became renowned for their bad boy image must be surprised at their now respectable image. The 20 track line-up on the CD follows the usual tried and tested songs with good old faithful numbers such as No More Heroes, Hanging Around and Golden Brown (or is that now Golden Balls Brown?).
