JOCKEY Franny Norton, who was narrowly denied on the favourite Mr Dinos in Saturday's Northumberland Plate at Newcastle, was back in the winning groove on Optimaite at Doncaster yesterday and it promises to be more of the same at Hamilton tomorrow.

He teams-up with Lord Chamberlain in the Tote Bookmakers Series Handicap, and Milton Bradley's nine-year-old is my Nap selection to follow-up his recent Redcar success.

That win, the first of Lord Chamberlain's career, was achieved in attacking style in a lady riders' race. Carol Williams sent him clear a long way from home before just holding off the late challenge of Scramble.

The runner-up franked the form with a win at Newcastle last Friday night.

The £10,000 Tote Exacta Handicap over five furlongs is the feature race on the card, and Flint River should not be overlooked.

Jim Goldie's sprinter ran a blinder in the Gosforth Park Cup at Newcastle on Friday evening to finish fifth to Proud Boast. In a race where the field split into two groups he was the first home on the seemingly unfavoured stands side.

With Tony Culhane in the saddle, Flint River has a great chance in this open handicap.

Full Spate deserves attention in the Clydesdale Bank Classified Stakes over six furlongs.

The seven-year-old, a stablemate of Lord Chamnberlain, got back on the winning trail at Doncaster on Saturday night when he seemed to appreciate the return to tomorrow's distance. Now that he has got his head in front again, Full Spate is worth following.

Clarinch Claymore could prove the answer to the Bill McHarg Apprentice Handicap.

This event will not take a great deal of winning and I fancy Clarinch Claymore to win in the hands of Charlie Poste, who rode Sir Sandrovitch to victory at Chester on Saturday.

Emma Ramsden travels from North Yorkshire to partner Kez in the Chigwell Riding Trust Amateur Riders' Handicap at Yarmouth.

Kez, trained by Paul Webber, has been in cracking form recently, winning two of his last three starts. A 5lb penalty may not be enough to prevent him from delivering again.
