THE mind boggles at how the sites of the new proposed Park & Ride are decided (June 26).
Little thought has gone into the recommendations. The roundabout on the A59 is a nightmare for those who wish to cross over. It is also next to a garage and only yards from a busy school crossing.
The plan to place a Park & Ride on the Rufforth roundabout is daft. The village aspects which still remain in Holgate and Acomb will be lost for ever, so one has to ask the question: is it not time that the city council stopped pouring concrete on to our few remaining green fields within York?
