ONE of the many courses at a Pickering college gives agricultural students practical experience of using farm machinery.
Agricultural and other courses will be explained at Askham Bryan College in Swainsea Lane, Pickering on Friday, June 28, at an open day, 10am-8pm.
Also available are greenkeeping, gamekeeping and horticulture to national certificate and NVQ level.
Computer courses are popular at the college. These range from basic levels up to advanced European Computer Driving Licence.
For the less technical are courses in craft to City and Gilds level. There are also courses in embroidery, soft furnishings, quilting and cookery.
A few courses are held in the evenings. Others are daytime courses and some are day release.
