THREE professional practices in York today announced plans to resurrect The money Show at the Merchant Adventurers Hall, on October 24.

The exhibition event, which offers free "no hassle" money advice to York people, was last held three years ago.

On this occasion, regular sponsors Walsh Lucas, the independent financial advisers, will be joined by solicitors' firm Ware & Kay and CGA Accountancy.

Mike Lucas, principal at Walsh Lucas, said: "Already we have had huge interest from insurance companies, the Inland Revenue, four life assurance organisations and investment groups who all want to exhibit. We are also hoping to recruit banks and building societies and all of them will give people the opportunity to get free advice and guidance that they can understand. It will be a jargon-free zone."

The sponsors were also planning to organise seminars throughout the day on subjects like buy-to-let, inheritance tax planning, and equity release on property for older people.
