Leaders Hovingham raced to a ten-wicket victory in division six after dismissing Wilberfoss for the lowest total of the day.

Mark Redhead took 5-26 as 'Foss were dismissed for 44 with Andy Lofthouse making 19no. D Milburn (22no) and Rich Wood (18no) knocked off the runs without any mishap.

Heslington II had their biggest win since joining the league when they trounced hosts Cawood by 152 runs.

Dave Bath took a creditable 4-68, but Heslington posted 240 with Paul Clarke making 90, Adam Dixon 35 and Steve Norman 35. Stuart Dickinson then destroyed the home side with 5-38 in 15 overs but was unable to remove 12-year-old James Pearson, who batted for 30 overs for an unbeaten 34.

Civil Service opener Bob Graves carried his bat through his side's innings for the third week in succession to make 59no as his side adopted a safety first policy to draw against Stillington. Service's John Winfield bowled well taking 6-65 but Stillington were able to make 174 all out as Dennis North hit 37, Rob Gilbert 25 and Shaun Linton 36.

Graves' determined effort then took Service to a draw at 138-3.

Two promotion chasing sides clashed at Stamford Bridge where the hosts had the better of a draw with New Earswick.
