I AM not surprised that David Beckham injured his foot before the World Cup, judging by the very un-supportive kind of shoes he wears for football.
Surely a more firmer type of boot is better - perhaps one that has ankle-support and lace-ups etc - the sort we 'oldies' used to wear for hockey.
