Bob Jackson RT's Paul Kirk turned in the fastest time of 24mins 2secs in the latest Clifton Cycling Club (York) Thursday Evening League event, a ten-mile time trial on the rolling Tadcaster/Sherburn course.
Clifton veteran George Young was close to Kirk, recording 24min 45secs, as the fastest of an 11-strong Clifton entry.
Claire Gilmartin clocked up a course personal best of 29min 4sec, to soundly beat women's series leader Janet Anderson (Leeds Westfield) by 1min-21sec.
Other Clifton times: Ian Kent 25-15, Chris Carter 26-27, R Lewis-Crosley 26-45, Ian Toyn 27-09, Phil Duston 27-13, Darren Neylon 27-15, Ian Lowther 27-58, Andrew Hutcheon 28-07, Les Osgathorpe 29-44.
Laurie Holmes won the Yorkshire Cycling Federation ten-mile time-trial on the South Cave course with a ride of 20-19.
Four of Clifton CC's veterans competed with in-form George Young emerging the fastest on 22-35, to take second handicap award. Colin Simpson clocked 23-23, Keith Richardson 23-49 and Jerry Noble 24-37.
Lilling's Wayne Thorpe (Brough Wheelers) timed 22-27, Knaresborough RT's Nigel Goscinski 21-46, and Appleton Roebuck's Bob Tate (Leeds Westfield) clocked 23-16.
