THE York Acorn Past Masters will entertain the Punch Bowl Old Boys in their annual charity game this Sunday, kick-off 2.30pm.
This year, the match will be played for the Punch Bowl's selected charity of CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) and in memory of Jamie Bucknell.
Any former Punch Bowl, Clifton Moor or York Groves players interested in taking part should contact Paul Boyne on (01904) 766328, while any ex-Acorn players should contact Bill Blackburn on (01904) 330351.
York Acorn will start pre-season training on Tuesday, June 25 at the club (6.45 meet for 7pm start), with sessions held every Thursday and Tuesday thereafter.
New coach Dave Kay is still looking to increase the first and second team pool of coaching assistants, and - as reported by the Evening Press - are still on the lookout for a second team coach.

Meanwhile, Acorn will be hosting a Sportsman's Dinner on Saturday, June 29, with former Manchester City and England midfielder Mike Summerbee the guest star. Tickets are priced at £20 with those interested in attending asked to contact Bill Blackburn on (01904) 330351.
