York Acorn Running Club's first Fell Championship at Millington, near Pocklington, was won by Andy Normandale.
His experience paid off on the steep hill at the halfway mark of the 3 mile course after Martin Lawn took an early lead and was able to win by a big margin.
Julie Simpson was a comfortable winner of the women's race.
Gerry Orchard was the club's first finisher in the Swaledale Marathon, clocking four hours 19 minutes, fellowed by Jemi Josi 4-48, Doug Scott 4-57, Chrissie Hall 5-14 and Robert Hall 6-34.
