A WEBSITE which beams out from Harrogate to help thousands of victims of bullying at school all over the country, today won the voluntary and community category of the UK Online E-Commerce awards.
Bullying Online, run by journalist Liz Carnell, has been seen by 195,000 people since the website was set up three years ago and more than 12,000 have e-mailed for personal advice.
At today's awards ceremony sponsored by Business Link at the Parsonage Country House Hotel, at Escrick, York, the site, at www.bullying.co.uk, was also praised for the data it offers to parents, teachers and school governors. It received a £2,000 cheque.
Whitby craft bakers, confectioners and caterers, E Botham & Sons, was highly commended in the E-trading category for the regional awards final out of 24 organisations shortlisted.
