I would like to publicly thank Joel Millard, RSPCA Animal Collection Officer. ('Oliver turns up after 8 months', April 18).

Oliver is a very much-loved pet, and we are all delighted to get him back. What was not said in the story was Mr Millard went back when not on duty and caught him.
