Bill Hedison's team of John Mordue, Dennis Sanderson and Alwyn Johnson won the veterans' fours league final for the third year running at York and District Indoor Bowls Club.
Hedison's men beat Dick Saltmer's four of skip Alan Johnston, Mick Smith, Terry Mountain and Ken Patterson 22-16.
Johnston and company scored two on each of the first two of ends but then Hedison's team responded by scoring seven and led 18-6 after 11 ends.
Johnston's team won seven of the next eight ends to trail 19-16 but the defending champions won the last two ends.
Fred Clayden's team won the veterans' triples for the second year running as Dennis Haw, Alan Storey and Alf Sunman beat Alec Giles, Dennis Brown and Don Claxton 19-12.
Clayden's trio scored four on the fourth end to lead 5-4 and they extended their lead with a three then two singles to give them a welcome cushion.
There was an exciting finish in the ladies triples final. Linda Harrison's team of Pat Wilson, Dot Kennelly and Clarice Johnston led Muriel Mooring's side of Ena Neal, Sue Kirkpatrick and Doreen Giles 17-2 after nine ends, but then Mooring's team won seven of the last nine ends to level the scores at 19-19. Harrison's team won the extra end by one shot.
Steve Sanderson and Peter Long, playing in the men's pairs final for the first time, beat Charlie Bateman's defending champions Michael Bruce and Russ Barton 25-13.
The game was very close up to the 13th end, with the scores level at 9-9, but then six winning ends out of eight, including a five on the last end, gave victory to Sanderson and Long.
Iain Boyle, Paul Mooring and Phil Parsons beat Geoff Mooring's team of Les and Alwyn Redhead and Noel Cammidge 24-7 in a one-sided men's triples final.
Boyle and company led 11-1 after five ends, helped by a five on the first followed by a four on the third. Their opponents won three successive ends to narrow the score to 11-6 but won only one more end.
Brothers Fred and Gordon Walker and Fred's son Geoff joined with Philip Scott to win the men's fours title, beating Ernie and John Backhouse, Dave Dale and Geoff Oglesby 24-12.
Walker's team took the lead with a five on the first end and never lost it, increasing it to 17-5 by the 12th end.
Charlie Bateman and Marjorie Elvidge were losing 5-3 after six ends in the mixed pairs final against Doug Petty's team of Alwyn Redhead and Brenda Martin, but then scored a five to lead for the first time
Petty's team replied with a three to level the scores but Bateman's side won seven of the next eight ends to lead 26-9 with only five ends to play and they went on to win 29-12.
Ken Robertson's team of Melanie Brooke, Brenda and Greg Love won six ends in a row from the fourth to turn a 3-2 deficit into a 12-3 lead against Peter Wilkinson's team of Liz Wilkinson, Brian Sprigg and Ken Hutson. Robertson's team went on to win 19-13.
Malcolm Harrison's side of Graham and Melanie Brooke and Tommy and Betty Yorke comfortably won the mixed four title against Alan Storey, Shirley Hakner, Ken Patterson and Marjorie Elvidge.
Harrison's team led 10-9 after the tenth end and then scored a three, five and four in successive ends to lead 21-8. Storey's side won three of the remaining seven ends but picked up only singles and lost 28-11.
