A BROKEN-DOWN delivery truck caused the closure of a York city centre road for two hours today.
An articulated Hovis lorry was pulling out of a delivery bay at the Marks & Spencer store, in Pavement, just before 7.30am when it broke down, leaving the vehicle stranded across the road. Store staff helped to redirect traffic away from the scene. A recovery vehicle arrived just before 9am, but it took a further 30 minutes to tow it away.
