EASTER may be a recent memory, but Haxby nurses have been getting into the Christmas spirit. Hotels and other busi-nesses traditionally busy during the festive season have often deferred their staff Christmas parties: now the Birchlands Nursing Home has done the same.
The staff were working hard when many of us were relaxing at home, so they de-serve their delayed audience with Santa. We hope they had a fine time. The best of it was, when the party was over they could walk home in the warmth of a spring evening, rather than shiver and totter on frosty pavements.
