A DECISION could come today in the row between a York parish council and the family of teenage heart attack victim Jamie Bucknell.
As previously reported in the Evening Press, Strensall Parish Council twice refused designs for Jamie's gravestone.
His parents, Keith and Debbie, were today meeting council chairman Phillip Thorpe. Mr Thorpe last week pledged to "re-examine the rules" on what designs can be included on headstones.
Keith Bucknell said: "We have made a few changes to what we were asking for. We will see what the meeting brings."
Fourteen-year-old Jamie died last November after suffering a heart attack while in class at Huntington School. Evening Press readers flooded the paper with donations when his parents set up an appeal in his memory. It paid for new equipment at York District Hospital.
