York City will wait to see what the fall out is from the ITV Digital collapse before beginning their search for new players.
A record number of players could be looking for new clubs in the summer as teams throughout the Nationwide League look to slash their wage bills due to the potential loss of television money.
There are already rumours that sides like Sheffield Wednesday and Chesterfield will scrap their reserves teams next term.
And with this in mind, the Minstermen will wait and see what players will be available through the closed season.
"There will be a lot of players around," said assistant-boss Adie Shaw. "Terry and I take stock and see positions there are to fill.
"But, in the time I've been here, if there is a player that fits the bill then we've just gone to the chairman to try and get them.
"Everyone has now had a long, hard season and will be taking a few weeks holiday, so in the next three or four weeks we could see some movement, not just at York City, but at every club."
As for City's loanees, Shaw added the club will also have to hang on.
"Michael Proctor has gone back so we will have to wait and see what Sunderland do," he added. "Scott Jones will continue training with us but he has another year on his contract at Bristol Rovers.
"He will have to sort his future with them."
