Double-chasing New Earswick All Blacks Under-14s travel to Drighlington tomorrow needing a point to secure the Yorkshire Junior League U14s division two title.
All Blacks won through to the final of the Yorkshire Continuation Cup at the weekend and although some players picked up minor injuries, most are expected to be fit for tomorrow's vital match. However, Danny Pfluger (calf) will have a late fitness test.
All players are asked to meet at Aagrar A64/Tadcaster Road at 4.45pm, kick off 6.30pm.
York Acorn Under-10s rounded off an outstanding season by registering their 30th-win from 31 games with a 54-6 defeat of Shaw Cross.
Tries came from Ben Johnston (4), Joshua Mortimer (2), Robert Dickson, Michael Kellett, Stuart Leeke and Anthony Chilton, with goals from Leigh Garside, Joshua Mortimer, Johnston, Chilton and Ricky James.
York Acorn Under-12s produced one of their best displays of the season to only lose 18-4 against unbeaten Lock Lane.
After going in ten points adrift at the break Acorn rallied early in the second half to cut the deficit with a Steve Doswell try.
Lock Lane only clinched the win with two late tries.
An excellent display at Middleton saw New Earswick All Blacks Under-8s score eight tries. David Hayes was man of the match for at least three try-saving tackles, Nico Cipriano was most impoved player and David Bellwood topped the tackle count.
Tries came from Isaac Fotu (3), Sean Malarkey (2), Adam Speck, Ciprano and Bellwood.
York Acorn Under-8s put on a fine attacking show to subdue Dudley Hill by eight tries to nil in the first game and by five to one in the second.
Outstanding for Acorn were top tackler Ryan Gallacher, who also scored five tries, Danny Atkins (3) and Jordan Myers. Other tries came from Liam Bedford (3), Jack Anderson and Martin Brown.
Joel Johnson, Sam Orange and Callum Hannigan did well as York Acorn Under-9s beat a much-improved New Earswick All Blacks eight tries to one.
Adam Hardwick scored a superb solo try, with other scores coming from Orange (3), Johnson (2), Hannigan and Jamie Stuart.
York Acorn Under-11s - who only had nine men - put up a spirited showing and were only beaten 26-0 by East Leeds who have lost just once this season.
