A NORTH Yorkshire company has landed a £250,000 contract which will help with road repairs in Scotland.
Econ Engineering, which makes multi-purpose highways maintenance equipment, has received an order for 11 "Econ Hotboxes" for road re-instatement work being carried out by West of Scotland Water.
The Hotbox, with its ability to keep repair material in top condition throughout the working day, will cut down on frequent, time-consuming trips by normal tippers to collect small amounts.
Andrew Lupton, Econ's sales director, said: "This is our largest-ever Hotbox order and the contract provides further evidence that our road-patching range is increasingly seen as setting the pace in both design and manufacturing quality."
