A FAMILY of York travellers has appealed for information after two of their horses went missing.
The Smith family used to keep two horses at the side of the A166 York to Stamford Bridge road, near Cockerill's potato merchants.
But on Thursday afternoon they noticed the horses had vanished.
One is a three-year-old black and white stallion, the other a two-year-old red and white filly.
Family spokesman Richard Smith said: "They have lived there about six months but at 1pm on Thursday we saw they had gone.
"They are our children's horses and really want them back. If anyone knows where they are, please get in touch." Anyone with information should ring the York Travellers' Trust on York 630526.
