A TOTAL of 53 children aged between six and 14 years sharpened their football skills during the Easter holidays at a course run by York College.
Each child was awarded a certificate of achievement and special prizes were given for the most improved player, personality of the course and penalty champion.
Former York City star Gordon Staniforth, who works at the College and organised the course, said: "The young footballers had a fantastic few days - everyone really entered into the spirit of the game and made new friends in the process."
The next York College holiday football course will run on June 5, 6 and 7.
