Scarborough go into their game against Southport at the McCain Stadium tonight knowing that a win will probably end any fears of relegation from the Nationwide Conference.
Manager Russ Slade is hoping that his side can carry on from where they left off in the 3-1 win over Telford on Saturday.
Scarborough, unbeaten in eight games, will be unchanged as they go for a victory so that their games at the McCain Stadium next week can be a celebration of safety instead of tense affairs.
"We are a tempo side who like to play at pace and when we get things going we do create problems for sides, so I shall be looking for another high-energy performance tonight," said the Boro boss.
"If we can keep our run going and entertain the fans it should be a good night."
With joint leaders Boston and Dagenham coming to the Yorkshire resort next week, it looks as though Scarborough will hold the key to which of those two gets promoted to the Football League.
Slade will be able to measure in these games just how much progress his side have made since he took over in November.
Scarborough: Woods, Rennison, Hotte, Baker; Jordan, Salt, Patterson, Wright, Blunt, Stamp, Rose. Subs: Pounder, Shannon, Faure, Connell, Sugden.
Harrogate Railway turned the tables on old foes Pickering Town last night as they picked up a 2-1 victory in the Northern Counties East League premier division.
Rail, who had gone down to a 2-1 defeat on their on patch against the Pikes earlier in the season, produced a spirited display to take the points last night.
Paul Stansfield, on loan from Harrogate Town, continued his fine scoring form for the Station Viewers with a fifth-minute opener only for Mark Willoughby to equalise.
But a battling second-half performance, typical of a local derby, saw Rail wrap up the win through leading scorer Steve Davey.
Selby Town ended their dismal run with a superb 3-0 win over Denaby in a game played at Brodsworth.
Selby made the perfect start when Andy Cygan scored from close range after three minutes when Hattersley could only parry a powerful shot from Gladwell.
Cygan made it 2-0 after 24 minutes with a neat finish after a good ball from Peter Collier and the Robins sealed the game just two minutes into the second half when a Matty Wain cross was turned in by Kris Baxter.
