A sell-out field of 40 anglers fished a tricky match at Carpvale, where weights were restricted by the ravages of an overnight frost.
Gary Watson (Armley Angling) led from current form peg 12, where he used long pole and meat tight to the island for eight carp scaling 26lb 2oz.
Steve Raper (Hirst Tackle) was on peg 18, where he fished into open water with chopped worm for a mixed bag of small carp and bream scaling 24lb 8oz.

A good turn out of 49 contested Saturday's match on both lakes at the Willows. Pegs on the predominantly small fish Goldrush were to the fore, with Mick Proctor (Bob.co) winning from peg 52.
Fishing maggot over pellet he netted mainly small tench with a few carp from the island for his 18lb 14oz.
Steve Fearnley (Milkmen) was on 49, where he switched between paste and maggot for 18lb 6oz of orfe, chub and small carp.

The Sunday open match at the Oaks was switched to Poplar Lake for a change, with encouraging results.
Andy Rawson (Wibsey Angling) led from corner peg 36 where he used pole and pellet at 16 metres to get tight to the aerator.
He netted a steady stream of carp to 3lb to top the 41 entry with 47lb 2oz.
Mark Whittaker (Lower Wharfe Angling) used pole and pellet at 13 metres from peg 32 for his all carp net of 38lb 9oz.

The fish were tightly shoaled on Horseshoe Lake at Raker with first and second on adjacent pegs.
John Cosgrove (Anglers Corner) led from peg 18 with 38lb 5oz. Fishing floating pole and corn tight across at 18 metres he dragged out carp between 2 and 3lb.
On 19 Gareth Sellars (Team Gem) opted for the same plan of attack but fell short on 23lb 9oz.

Round one of the Spring Series on the Selby Canal saw pegs on the reeds at Burn dominate as the fish shoal up prior to spawning.
Karl Midhage (York Tackle) led from the top of the reeds on peg 15. Fishing squatt and pinkie to the stick ups at 11 metres he netted a fine 10lb 5oz of quality roach and skimmers.
Craig Turbitt (Wibsey Angling) was on 17 at the other end of the reeds and had an all roach 10-2-0 to pole and caster.

Wednesday saw a huge entry of 82 fish all the match lakes at Woodlands.
Dean Smith (Van den Eynde Goole) won from peg 18 on Dragonfly. Pole at 17 metres put him tight to the island where he found plenty of small carp obliging for his 55lb.
Even the biggest carp ever landed in a match at the venue couldn't take the wind out of Dynamite Deano's sails.
Andy Bridge (MAP Elton) was on Dragonfly 10 where he fished to the boards with corn at 11 metres. His monster weighed 21lb 15oz and boosted his net to 44lb 3oz.
