BROKEN-LEG victim Richard Cooper is poised for a swift return to action tonight.
The York City defender has been named among the substitutes for the reserves' clash at home to Grimsby Town, kick-off 7pm.
It is only ten weeks ago that Cooper suffered a fracture in the Division Three clash against Hull .
Also on the bench tonight will be another long-term absentee, midfielder Nick Richardson.
Included in the squad are two trialists - Craig Wilding a striker from Chesterfield, and Mark Purdy, a midfielder from Leicester City.
City reserves from Collinson, Law, Stamp, Fielding, Smith, Brackstone, Fox, Emmerson, Darlow, Pearce, Wilding, Purdy, Cooper, Stockdale, Richardson, Rhodes, Yalcin.
- City goalkeeper Russ Howarth and his England Under-20 colleagues flew out to Portugal today ahead of Wednesday's international friendly in Amadora.
The Portuguese clash is part of England's preparations for the Toulon Tournament in France.
