Heworth Rugby League Club are to lend a helping hand to the bid to resurrect York Wasps.
The amateur club have agreed to make their facilities available for free from next week so that the squad can continue to train during the 'Keep Wasps Buzzing' campaign.
The players are set to have their first get together since the closure of the club tonight at Huntington Stadium, meeting at 6.30pm for a 6.45pm start.
The squad will be informed of the latest developments with caretaker coach Stewart Horton, the former player and head coach, who has agreed to take charge of team affairs following the departure of Leo Epifania, leading the session.
"Heworth don't want to see the club go to the wall and I think it is a great gesture on their part," said Horton.
