York RI continued their winning ways with an emphatic 35-22 victory over Keighley.
Although under pressure in the scrums, RI's forwards rose to the occasion and produced a series of drives that, after ten minutes, allowed Matthew Yates to barge his way over the line and five minutes later created space for Tim Nash to score.
Stuart Watson converted both tries for a 14-0 lead.
Keighley reduced the arrears on the half hour when a wayward Yates' pass was intercepted by centre Hinchliffe who raced the length of the field to score. Harrison converted.
A Harrison penalty on the stroke of half time then trimmed RI's lead to four points.
The York woe continued when RI fell behind just after the break.
Hinchliffe again broke through the RI defence for his second try and Harrison's conversion gave Keighley a 17-14 lead.
But this seemed to give RI the shock they needed and they tore right back into their opponents.
The visitors' defence began to crumble and with Tim Barley driving the forwards on, two more tries were created for centre Tim Nash and one for John Paul Wong.
All were converted by Watson to give RI an unassailable 35-17 lead. The final score in the encounter went to Keighley's danger-man Hinchliffe, but there was no denying a well-deserved victory for RI.
