BOTH the Clifton Alliance teams have been docked points for breaking Hunters the Estate Agent York and District Senior Indoor Cricket League rules.
The rule the Clifton club broke relates to the number of appearances allowed when a club has two teams in the league.
The rules stipulate that once a player has made three appearances for one of the teams he can make a maximum of only two appearances in his club's other team.
Clifton Alliance have been docked one point for each offence. This means the 'A' team have lost nine points and slip from third to fifth place in division one, while the 'B' team lose ten points and drop from second in division two to bottom place.
Playing records relating to ineligible appearances have been deleted from league averages and records.
Rowntree 'A' retained the York Brewery Indoor League KO Cup and finished runners-up to Acomb in division one thanks to Sheriff Hutton Bridge beating Clifton Alliance 'A' in their last game.
In the cup, Rowntree beat Acomb 'A' in the semi-finals and Acomb 'B' in the final.
Pickering's league game with Rowntree 'B' was conceded when they arrived too late for the scheduled start. The Pickering club have suffered a big loss with the death of Richard Aconley, who was a regular member of the club's indoor side.
