Dunnington became Hunters the Estate Agent York and District Senior League premier division champions for the first time after a rapid nine-wicket victory at Heworth.
For the hosts, Dave Simpson made 32 and Guy Wilkinson 25, but the twin-pronged attack of Joe Grant and Collis King had them all out for 98.
Grant's 5 for 52 took him to a campaign total of 62 wickets, while King's 5 for 24 cemented his position at the top of the division averages with 36 wickets at 11.44.
When Dunnington replied, Hamid Khan fell for 38 but skipper Simon Kellett's unbeaten 53 steered his side to a title-winning victory.
Kellet's aggregate for the season is 962 runs at 74.00, while his partner when victory was reached, Collis King, has made 824 runs at 82.40 to crown a double success by becoming the first player to top both the batting and bowling averages in the same year in the top division.
Clifton Alliance took the title race to the wire claiming maximum batting points as they lashed the Acomb attack for 276-5.
Aussie Darren Reeves, who received the Tony Frith Award for the Best Overseas Player before the game, narrowly failed to create a new premier division record.
His dismissal for 47 left him on 1,183 runs, just 24 short of the
1,207 made by fellow countryman Joel Southam in 1999 when he too sported Clifton Alliance colours.
Opening partner Dave Taylor made 56, then Richard Musgrave 58no before Mick Knowles 64no piled on the agony as Clifton set their formidable score.
The Acomb batsmen responded admirably with Chris Simpson making 81 and skipper Dave Sykes 91 as they replied with 264-7. Musgrave was the most successful Alliance bowler with 3-65.
Easingwold's seventh victory, over relegated Ripon, enabled them to rise to third, which represents a fine recovery after a disastrous early part of the season.
Batting first, Ripon just failed to take full batting points when they made 195-9 through the efforts of Chris Waters 58, Stewart Hawley 41 and Dave Bicckel 36, with Damon Smith taking 3 for 29.
Smith then followed with 59 in support of Jonathan Marwood whose unbeaten 74 saw Easingwold to a seven-wicket win.
Both sides gained full batting points at Osbaldwick where an advantage draw ensured premiership cricket for Pickering.
Colin Frank top scored for the visitors as he moved to just short of the 800 mark by making 79. Craig Aconley hit his first half century of the term when he made 64.
Osbaldwick's reply saw runs flow from Mark Thompson who made 50, Richie Carew 37 and Stuart Boyle, whose 30 took him to 771 runs for the season.
Despite their efforts, Osbaldwick were left near to defeat at 205-9 as Aconley claimed 4 for 50 and Mark Shepherd 3 for 42.
Although relegated, Whitkirk at least had the satisfaction of ending their current run in the premier division with a good win over Thirsk.
Whitkirk's star youngster, Tom Glover, who has played a significant part in the success of the league's representative sides, made 36 in his side's 186-8 and then grabbed 4 for 23 as Thirsk were knocked over for 102.
Barry Petty was again the main Thirsk bowler as he took 4 for 72 to take his season's bag to 68 wickets for 982 off an awesome 450 overs.
Petty's haul confirmed him as the leading wicket taker in the top division for the past six years and a further four years prior to the run in lower divisions before Thirsk returned to the top flight. In ten seasons Petty has taken an astonishing 718 wickets.
