KIRKBYMOORSIDE Reserves are the new leaders of the RJF Homes Beckett League first division after their 5-1 demolition of Union Rovers.
With previous leaders Rosedale not having a game, Kirkbymoor-side took full advantage to see off an injury-depleted Union outfit.
Philip Butler and Bobby Brewer gave the Moorsiders an early lead, before Jamie Wilkinson pulled one back before the break.
However, second-half strikes from Dave Smith, Andrew Ferguson and Chris Hodgson put the game beyond doubt.
Relegation-threatened Slingsby gave their survival hopes a boost courtesy of a 2-1 victory over Kirkdale, who are scheduled to play tonight at home to Black Swan, Pickering.
Darren Dyer and Carl Biggins gave Slingsby a comfortable lead at the break although Phil Marwood pulled a goal back to set a few nerves jangling in the second half.
Black Swan, Pickering thumped Ampleforth 6-1 thanks to goals from Craig Taylor (2), Steve Sailes (3) and Mark Wood.
Amotherby and Swinton will enjoy the delights of top-flight football next season after they clinched the division two title.
Chris Smith and Neil Horsley netted to give them a 2-1 victory over Old Red House, for whom Andrew Snowden scored.
Duncombe Park closed in on the second promotion spot after goals from Colin Gascoigne, Paul Brackley and Eddie Adamson gave them a 3-1 win over Pickering Royal Oak.
Adam Hornby netted from the spot for Oak in a match which saw Craig Newton, Brian Connor (both Park) and Lee Thackray (Oak) sent off.
Ryedale Sports Club Reserves beat Bagby and Balk 2-0 to stay in with a shout of promotion. Shaun Hornby and Phil Hutchinson scored.
Aislaby snatched a 4-3 penalties victory over Black Swan, Pickering to move into the semi-finals of the Gordon Harrison Memorial Trophy.
The match had finished at 3-3 after 120 minutes of action with Sailes netting a superb hat-trick for Swan and Kenny Temple, Danny Lamb and Colin Frank scoring for Aislaby.
The penalty shoot-out saw disaster for Swan as first Kevin Wilson had his effort saved by Aislaby's Mark Fairweather and then Eddie Harris fired over the crossbar.
And although Temple missed for Aislaby, his team-mates - Frank, Mark Harland, Lamb and Kian Brewster - kept their nerve to finish the job.
Sailes, Matty Cass and Mark Ainsworth were successful for Swan.
