A MORE positive tourist story is provided by the Yorkshire Museum of Farming today. It was hit hard by the foot and mouth outbreak, as most of its larger animals had to be kept from public view.
Now it has some new attractions. Two calves arrived earlier this week, swiftly followed by the birth of a rare breed of lamb.
Down the centuries, the new-born lamb has symbolised hope. That is never more true than now. Our picture of this young creature will lift the spirits of all who care about the countryside.
