New Earswick All Blacks Rugby League Club Under-14s completed a league double over Batley Boys but were made to fight all the way for their 24-18 success.
All Blacks paid for some slack marking and a lack of willingness in the forwards, but benefited from good prompting by man of the match Ross Divorty and fine work by Thomas Hodgson.
Batley scored two tries before winger Chris Pallister went in the corner and Daryl Fogg stepped inside the full-back for a try and conversion.
Fogg kicked a penalty and after the break Divorty took a quick tap to score and add the extras. A Danny Pfluger try plus Fogg conversion increased the gap before Batley scored two tries either side of a Fogg penalty.
