K BARNES made me smile when he/she commented that "not one missing link has been found" (Letters, March 19). Would it be pedantic of me to point out that by definition the word "missing" means we do not know its whereabouts?
When we find "missing links" they are no longer missing.
Mr Barnes asks "Where is the evidence for evolution?". May I recommend the website www.talkorigins.org as a good starting point - the site addresses many misconceptions people have about evolution, and cites many examples of observed speciation.
