YORK-BASED Nestl Rowntree Athletic Club members streaked to silver at the North of England Indoor Pentathlon Championships at Gateshead.
John Gregory was second in the senior men's event with 2,603 points, while Jessica Taylor was runner-up in the Under 15 girls competition.
She won the 50metres sprint and high jump disciplines on her way to amassing 2,948 points in a competitive age group.
It was a pleasing end to the 13-year-old's first indoor season in which she had picked up another silver medal earlier in the year in the North of England sprint championship at Sheffield.
Meanwhile, five of the club's runners, who are also members of York City Baths Club, were in impressive form in the East Midlands, Yorkshire and Humberside Regional Triathlon competition at Lincoln.
The event, which also incorporated an open biathlon event, was held at Yarborough Leisure Centre.
Lauren Mason, 14, and 12-year-old Victoria Graves, won both their sections, Philip Graves 13, Joanne Feasby, 14, and Charlotte Mason, nine, were runners-up in their sections.
