A WOMAN was found unconscious in a house in York after firefighters and police forced their way into the property.
The woman, who was discovered in a house in Geldof Road, was treated by paramedics before being taken to York District Hospital by ambulance.
A North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said a man had called them at about 6.20pm yesterday to say he was concerned about a woman he knew who was in the property and that he could not get in to check on her. The man had also called the police.
When police and firefighters forced their way in, they found the woman had collapsed and was unconscious.
