I HAVE expressed grave concern over the off-field goings on at York City in the Evening Press before.
Mr Craig and the militant faction amongst City's supporters seemed unable to leave each other alone and focus in a more positive manner on the club.
They were pulling in opposite directions with no regard for the majority stuck in the middle. The obvious conclusion was the club would be damaged, possibly fatally.
Those extremists who thought that by using vandalism and graffiti to provoke Mr Craig into action will surely have known it will not have been into meek and mild surrender. For his part Mr Craig is acting true to character in raising, once again, to the perceived challenge and throwing down his gauntlet along with his terms.
My only hope for the future is that wherever and in whatever form City play/exist next season it is an existence free of extremists and in a new positive, friendly and vibrant atmosphere of tolerance.
