I would just like to add my support to the campaign to save City. I lived
in York during the early 70s and attended Bootham Crescent regularly - names I remember - Paul Aimson, Kevin Randall, Barry Swallow - I now live in Ballynahinch, County Down with my wife Penny (formerly of Heworth Green, York) and four children. My eldest son Niall's first football match was at Wembley for the 1993 3rd Div playoff. He has also been to Bootham twice - we saw City beat Reading 1-0 and Blackpool 2-1 a few years ago. He preferred Bootham Crescent to Wembley. Keeping my eye on events through the Evening Press online.
