I cannot believe what I have just read in tonight's Evening Press (Thursday, January 31).
John Stabler and Russell Greenfield, directors of York Wasps Rugby League Club see themselves as the custodians of professional sport in York.
Do me a favour, are they having a laugh? How come all of a sudden they have £4.5 million at their disposal after years of crying out, they have no money or collateral to buy new players, pay wages or develop the club in any way.
York RL are total shambles from top to bottom and I totally oppose their bid in any shape or form.
I hope that the Supporters' Trust feels the same way and supports John Batchelor in his bid if all else fails.
Mark Loveley,
Lavender Grove,
York.
