York City Baths Club swimmers returned from the first of the Yorkshire County Championships at Leeds International pool with three gold, four silver, two bronze and 13 other finalists in fourth to eighth place.
Hannah Petts dominated the ten year girls age group taking gold in all her events - 200m individual medley, 200m freestyle both in National age group qualifying times and the 50m butterfly. The 50m fly proved to be the highlight as Hannah took gold by 1/100th of a second from team-mate Rachel Eastaugh who collected silver. Rachel also picked up bronze in the 200m individual medley. Alice Sunderland 11yrs took two silvers in the 200m individual medley and the 200m free and bronze in the 800m free. Chris Burns, 11yrs, picked up silver in the 50m breaststroke. Nick Boaz finished fifth in the 14yrs 50m breaststroke, while Sophie Glasby, nine years, was fifth in the 50m butterfly.
