I WISH to hear from people who are disabled with back and leg pain and believe they have not received the correct diagnosis or treatment programme.
Have you been told you could not have a magnetic resonance image (MRI) scan? Even if you have had a scan, it can have an inaccuracy rate of up to 66 per cent in diagnosis of spinal problems.
You may have been denied further tests or treatments including minimally invasive treatments such as endoscopic laser formino plasty or an endoscopic nucleotomy.
These procedures remove bone, disc and scar tissue that causes pain.
Consultants often palm the patients off to pain clinics which, in my view, are a now a dumping ground when a quick diagnosis cannot be achieved.
Please e-mail me with your story at bakztothefuture@hotmail.com.
I too have suffered problems and have set up the Back To The Future Action Group campaigning for the use of new treatments for back problems.
