CURATORS at the British Museum have come across a truly explosive find.
Some of the gunpowder allegedly handled by York's infamous son Guy Fawkes as he tried to blow up Parliament was discovered in a shoebox in the basement.
We hope the museum will now keep it safe. Firstly, because this is remarkable historical evidence.
And secondly, because many people might want to get their hands on it to finish the job: huntsmen, patients on the NHS waiting list, rail passengers, crime victims...
