FARMERS will have the chance to see the benefits of a new countryside stewardship scheme in action.
A farm walk at West Wold Farm, Langton, is being held this afternoon to encourage arable farmers to see how the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs scheme could work for them.
The event, organised by the Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group (FWAG), will also demonstrate how the scheme can be incorporated into arable rotations and used to benefit wildlife and farm businesses.
Speakers from FWAG and Countryside Stewardship will be talking about the project in action at West Wold Farm, outside Malton, today, March 21, at 1pm. The event is free and for more information contact FWAG on (01609) 783632.
