CONSERVATION and farming are moving a step closer together with the appointment of a new conservation adviser.
Colin Hedley, who is currently working for the Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group, will take on the advisory role at the Country Land and Business Association (CLA).
He will join a team of conservationists at the CLA committed to caring for the countryside and bringing together commercial farming, landscape management and the environment.
Mr Hedley, who has ten years practical experience of both conservation and farming, will combine his new role at the CLA with his job as senior farm conservation advisor with the Farming and Wildlife group for two days a week.
