Tony McCoy, who was out of luck on his only mount at Ayr yesterday, can get back on the winning trail at Ludlow tomorrow.
The champion jockey, who needs only six more winners to beat Sir Gordon Richards' all-time record of wins in a season, teams-up with Coleham in the Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race.
So rarely does McCoy ride for Mark Brisbourne, trainer of Coleham, that it was a tip in itself when he partnered this four-year-old on her debut at Ludlow three weeks ago.
Coleham duly did the business, scoring by seven lengths from the favourite Scottish Dance.
Despite being burdened with a penalty tomorrow, Coleham is my selection to win again - and do her bit to help McCoy towards creating a major piece of racing history.
In the Shukers of Ludlow Handicap Hurdle, Borehill Joker deserves a winning turn.
Anthony Evans' mount has been running consistently well of late and has finished runner-up on his last two starts.
Opportunity could finally come knocking for him tomorrow.
Evans also has good prospects on Petite Risk in the Clun Claiming Hurdle.
Winner of three of her last four starts, Petite Risk, one of only two horses trained in Wales by permit-holder David Lloyd, has every chance of adding to her scoresheet.
Shepherds Rest, previously trained by Stan Mellor and now with Charlie Morlock, can notch his first success for his new handler in the Shropshire Handicap Chase.
The ten-year-old was having his first run since last autumn when finishing third to Real Estate on this course a month ago. That race should have benefited him a good deal and he is awarded the Nap vote tomorrow.
Heavy rain has caused the abandonment of tomorrow's meeting at Towcester.
Clerk of the course David Henson said: "We had half an inch of rain yesterday which meant we had to have a look this morning and following an inspection we found that parts of the course to be waterlogged so we've had to abandon. The course is like a sponge."
The going at Chepstow for tomorrow's jumps programme is heavy.
This afternoon's Exeter meeting was called off yesterday afternoon because part of the course is waterlogged.
